Well, it's been awhile since I've visited my own blog. ") I've been busy with life in general and also with teaching myself a brand new craft .
I have taken an interested in handcrafting lovely scented soaps and I'm slowly adding in some bath and body products such as my new Body Polishes as well as some lovely Bath Salts. My line is known as YUMMY PLEASURES!

I have added my new line in among my jewelry pieces in my Etsy store..I have been putting together a nice little collection of gifts that would be something thoughtful and affordable ..I hope you will check out my newest site as well which is just getting started. My New Etsy Suncatchers are here

Well I've finally gotten around to posting my two new etsy spring suncatchers.  These look absolutely incredible when hung in my windows and create magical little prisms of dancing light!  They are wonderful Fent Shui, reflecting light and adding fresh energy where ever they are placed.

So now since the holidays are over and we can all get back to "normal" , whatever that is, I'm hoping to get more of my new things listed.  My very newest project is studying and reading everything I can find on soap making.  I feel truely inspired to begin my soap making adventure and hope to be giving it a serious try really soon.   

This has been a blustery, bone-chilling winter...probably the coldest I can ever remember.  So needless to say, I am eagerly awaiting an early spring....wishing everyone happy days..

Blizzard 09

Hey, all,

Well, Blizzard 09 has come and gone, leaving about 16" in it's wake in my home town!  Spent the better part of the day digging out with a little help from a cool neighbor with his snowblower for the apron of the driveway.    That apron had about 4' drifts in it to begin with, but with a pass from the snowplow earlier, it was starting to resemble a small igloo!  So I was truely thankful for the help to mow the thing down to size .   Got the car free just in case and now we're in pretty good shape here.  I now know where the ferel kittens reside, thanks to the tiny footprints in the snow, so they got a special path dug from their cave to the front porch to make dining a bit easier.

Took a few shots of the yard from my windows so sharing them with you.  There's also a pic of how fat the wildlife is getting around here, which I was always taught means a really rough winter.       So, onward to Christmas now!!

The Calm Before The Storm

Well, seems to be still, cold and really calm outside this evening. But you  can smell it in the air and feel it in your bones..... From the weather reports on all of the cable and local channels, we seem to be in for a debilitating east coast storm...very soon!  It's not a 'watch" it's a "warning".  So I've gotten out in the afternoon and stocked up on anything I would need to carry me through for a few days...just in case. 

I will be using this time to add some new things to my Etsy store and rearrange what's there for those  last minute shoppers out there!  Check out my items and see if you may find something of interest...or perhaps you are shopping for that "really hard to buy for" person.  You never know what you may find.

So hoping not to be slammed too hard by this "monster" as they are now calling it.  I've got my ergonomically correct blue snow shovel handy right by my door to make my "pet paths" and of course a path to keep the mail carrier's job as sane as possible.  So stay tuned and we'll see where we end up tomorrow at this time..

Thanksgiving Day

Well here's a pic of "the family on the porch" enjoying their Thanksgiving Day. They have a "not so bad" life out there so guess they have something to be thankful for. My day was quietly spent with my actual human family...we all have a lot to be greatful for this Thanksgiving Day.
